Here are some of the activities and events that we have offered in the past.

Fun Run Obstacle Course and Ultimate Challenge – Our large fundraiser for the year supports most of our goals as a PTA as outlined in our yearly budget. Students secure donations or pledges per lap/fitness activity from friends, family, and community members through an online Boosterthon portal. The Challenge is a two week event which kicks off with a high spirited morning announcement and special events for all students and culminates on the event day. Throughout the two weeks, students earn prizes for reaching various pledge levels and are given individual and class challenges to meet certain goals as we work toward our school goal. During the 2022-2023 school year event we were able to raise over $33k to benefit school improvements!

Spirit Store – Students can wear school t-shirts on Fridays and hoodies throughout the year. These items can be purchased here: Edge Team Sports or 1st Place Spirit Wear

School Beautification and Improvement – Based on the needs of the campus, PTA funds campus renovations and improvements both inside and out, and personally works to keep our school beautiful. Recent projects included contributions to the media center renovations and revitalization of the tennis court areas to multipurpose courts.

Teacher Grants – PTA approves many grants throughout the year to defray teachers’ costs for a variety of things they need to do their jobs to the best of their abilities.

Fundraising Programs – Box Tops Fundraising, and more to come….

Teacher/Staff Luncheons – We spoil our teachers and staff with luncheons in the Great Hall at various points during the year.

Teacher/Staff Mailbox drops – Teachers and Staff receive gifts in their mailbox to show our appreciation.

Dress Down Days – Throughout the school year, the PTA offers a $1 donation dress down day for all students. Any student wishing to participate brings $1 to school and gives it to their first period teacher to help support the PTA. Dress code still applies and participation is voluntary.

Dine to Donate – Celebration families dine at local restuarants on designated nights and a percentage of the proceeds is donated to the PTA.

Chick-fil-A Pumpkin Spirit Night – This is an extremely popular annual event. Chick-fil-A purchases pumpkins on our behalf and delivers them to the school, so classes can decorate them in some type of literary theme. The pumpkins are then transported to Chick-fil-A to be displayed for all to see and vote for their favorite! Prizes are awarded by the PTA for the winners.

Honor Roll – The PTA is proud to provide funding for honor medals and/or certificates to CK8.

End of Year Fun Day – this is a school-wide field day event held at the end of the year to celebrate another wonderful year!  Last year we had a carnival, games, treats, and activities run by our amazing PE staff and community sponsors, Celebration Athletics and Orlando City Soccer School.

Year-End Celebrations – Students deserve a break for all their hard work throughout the school year! The PTA supports year-end celebrations for both elementary and middle school students.

Back to School Uniform Sale — Held during summer vacation, the PTA sells gently used uniform items adhering to the school dress code that have been donated by parents throughout the year. As a service to our parents and students, each item is offered for just $1.
